- Not able to log in?
The CHOP Research Institute Intranet currently requires that users log in with their CHOP Active Directory credentials. If you are unable to login, then you are not yet a member of the CHOP AD group and will need to be added. NOTE: Access will be granted to users with active CHOP AD accounts.
To gain access to the research intranet, please follow these steps:
- Visit cirrus.research.chop.edu. If you are prompted to log in, do so using your CHOP username and password.
- Choose "Intranet Resources"
- Pick "Research Intranet Portal" from the options on the right.
- Click "Create New Request"
- Click the "Submit Request" on the bottom right of the page.
- Click "OK"
You can see the status of the request by clicking on "My Requests" and drill down into the details by clicking on the request #.
If you receive a "401 - Unauthorized" message, please access this tool using CHOP Citrix.
If you encounter any issues with Cirrus, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you forgot your password, you can reset it by using the AD password management utility at https://forgotpassword.chop.edu using your username and initial password to access the tool.
- Do not have a CHOP user account?
Non-CHOP employees who need access: Contact the principal investigator or manager serving as your research contact at Children's Hospital and ask him or her to submit a request for an Active Directory account, using the CHOPone system. If you are associated with active Research Institute studies but are not a CHOP employee, your Children's Hospital contact must sponsor your access to the Research Intranet.
Once this is done, you will be provided a link and temporary username and password to the Hospital's Learning Link online education system, where you will need to sign up for and review the module on appropriate use of CHOP computing resources. When you have completed this, your Active Directory account will be created.
Once the ID is created your sponsor will be contacted with the user ID and a temporary password.
