CHOP requires that system passwords be changed every 180 days. Fortunately, you can reset passwords for most systems yourself, without calling the Service Desk. This service allows you to change your Active Directory password -- the one you use to access systems such as Epic, the CHOP network, email, Bravo!, CHOPone, myCareer and more.
Two methods are available through http://ishelp.chop.edu. One is for users who have an Entrust software or hardware token, and the other is for individuals without Entrust access. The second method generates a one-time password that can be sent directly to an email account or smartphone.
Passwords for some other systems, including radiology applications, cannot be set online. Call the Service Desk.
How do I know if I can reset my own password?
You can use our online tool to reset your Active Directory password -- the password you use to log into the CHOP network and systems including e-mail, Epic, @CHOP, CHOPone, myCareer@CHOP and others.
Passwords for some other systems, including radiology applications, cannot be reset online. If you need access, contact the Help Desk at 4-HELP(1-215-590-4357) to reach the IS Support Center.
Can't I just call the Help Desk?
Simply avoid this extra step by going directly to ishelp.chop.edu. Users have found that self-service takes only about a third of the time needed when you call.
